ABY INFLATABLE Yoga Paddle Board: Float, Flow & Find Your Balance
Wide, stable, and designed for yoga on water.
ABYSUP yoga SUP boards give you the platform to practice anywhere.
Why Board Width Matters More Than You Think
- Most beginner yogis blame their balance — but the real problem is usually the board.
- A standard SUP at 30″ wide creates constant micro-adjustments just to stay upright. A yoga-specific board at 33″–35″ wide gives you a stable platform where your focus goes to the pose, not the wobble.
- ABYSUP yoga boards are built wide, thick, and with full-deck EVA coverage — so you spend less time falling in and more time flowing.

What Makes an Ideal Yoga SUP
Width: 33"–35"
Wider than a standard SUP. More surface area under your feet means more stability during standing poses and transitions.
Thickness: 6 Inches
Drop-stitch construction inflated to 15 PSI creates a platform that feels like solid ground. No flex, no bounce — just a firm base for every pose.
Full-Deck EVA Grip
Full-length diamond-groove EVA means your knees, hands, and feet all land on a non-slip surface — not just the centre strip.
3 Tips for Your First Yoga Session on Water
Anchor Your Gaze
Pick a fixed point on the horizon and keep your eyes there. Moving water creates visual noise — a fixed gaze stabilises your balance faster than any core exercise.
Start Sitting, Not Standing
Begin your practice seated. Feel the board's response to your movement before you stand. Most wipeouts happen in the first 10 minutes when the board feels unfamiliar.
Inflate to Full PSI
Under-inflated boards flex under your weight and make balance harder. Always inflate to 15 PSI before getting on the water. It should feel completely solid underfoot.
Yoga SUP FAQ
What size paddle board is best for yoga?
For yoga, you want a board that is at least 33 inches wide and 10 feet long.
Width is the key stability factor — every extra inch of width reduces the side-to-side wobble that disrupts standing poses.
Our 10'6" × 34" yoga SUP is the most popular choice for beginners and intermediate practitioners.
Can I do yoga on an inflatable paddle board?
Yes — and inflatable boards are actually better for yoga than hard boards in several ways.
A 6-inch drop-stitch board inflated to 15 PSI is as rigid as a hard board underfoot, but it has a slightly softer surface for kneeling poses and child's pose.
It also packs down to carry-on size for travel, which hard boards cannot.
How stable are inflatable paddle boards for yoga?
Stability depends almost entirely on board width, not whether it is inflatable.
A 34-inch wide inflatable SUP inflated to full PSI is more stable than a 28-inch hard board — the material is not the variable, the width is.
Most beginners feel confident standing and doing basic poses within 15–20 minutes on a properly inflated wide yoga board.
Do I need a special paddle board for yoga or will any SUP work?
Any board works, but a yoga-specific board makes a noticeable difference.
Standard all-around boards at 30"–32" width require constant balance correction. A yoga board at 33"–35" gives you a stable enough base to actually focus on the pose.
If you are buying a SUP specifically for yoga, get one designed for it — the width difference costs nothing extra at our price points.
What is the weight limit on ABYSUP yoga paddle boards?
Our yoga SUP boards are rated for riders up to 330 lbs (150kg).
This is the combined weight of the rider plus any gear or water carried on the board.
If you are close to the limit, go up one size — a longer board at the same width will carry more weight with better stability.
