Increased Volume Through 6" Thickness + 34" Width
Load capacity on an inflatable SUP is a function of displacement volume — board length × width × thickness. The XL Stability Series runs at 12' long, 34" wide, and a full 6" thick, generating significantly more buoyancy than a standard 10'6" × 32" × 6" board. The heavy rider floats high and dry, the board doesn't sag, and paddling feels effortless instead of forced.
Dual Reinforced Stringer Layout
A single centerline stringer is enough for a 250 lb rider. At 400 lbs+, the board will flex in the middle ("taco effect") unless reinforced further. We integrate dual reinforced stringers running the full length of the board, distributing load evenly and eliminating mid-board flex even when fully loaded with rider, cooler, and gear.
Triple-Layer Military-Grade PVC Skin
Heavier loads put more stress on the outer skin, especially at the rails and the standing area. The XL Series uses a triple-layer PVC construction (vs the dual-layer standard on most all-round boards). The result is a board that handles repeated 400 lb loads, claws from a large dog, scuffs from fishing gear, and accidental drops without delaminating or puncturing.
